Transition Catskills is the proud sponsor of the first public orchard in Delaware County, NY. Eight apple trees were donated for the site adjacent to the Community Garden in the village of Fleischmanns.
Mayor Todd Pascarella and members of community group Fleischmanns First turned out for the October 11th tree planting ceremony.
Big thanks go out to everyone who got their hands dirty on Saturday, to Rudd and Greg at Catskill Rentals for excavating the holes beforehand, and thanks to the DEP for giving the project the green light on the land.
